For the third consecutive year, the U.S. Department of Labor has recognized Core4ce as a recipient of the HIRE Vets Medallion Award. U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized the 2024 award recipients during a virtual ceremony on October 31. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.
“Supporting service members and veterans is a mission that is very close to our hearts, and we are deeply committed to recruiting and retaining veterans on our team,” said Core4ce CEO Mike Morehouse. “We’re proud to be a recipient of the HIRE Vets Medallion Award for the third year, and believe that the dedication, expertise, and distinctive experiences that veterans bring to our team play a pivotal role in driving value for our customers in the national security sector.”
Recipients of the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages, availability of veteran-specific resources, and dedicated human resource efforts. Veterans currently comprise more than 30% of Core4ce’s team and support defense and intelligence customers in the fields of IT, cyber, data analytics, and mission support.
Shortly after its founding, Core4ce established a Veterans Resource Group, Vet4ce, to ensure intentionality around furthering veteran careers.
“Vet4ce aims to create a supportive community for veterans across the company while also giving back to our fellow service members,” said Vet4ce lead and Solutions Architect Robert Sisente. “Recently, we elected to make our second annual contribution to Stop Soldier Suicide, the only national nonprofit focused solely on solving the issue of suicide among U.S. veterans and service members.”
Azimuth Corporation, which Core4ce acquired in October, is also a repeat awardee of the HIRE Vets Medallion Award. Veterans comprise more than 20% of the Azimuth team, and 2024 marks the seventh consecutive year that the company has received recognition by the HIRE Vets program. A shared commitment to veteran hiring is one of several cultural parallels across the two companies, which are poised to offer enhanced capabilities in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), AI/ML, threat protection, and warfighter support, as part of the new partnership.
